2018

2018 will be remembered as the year I became a Lola to my sweet Kinsley girl. Also, the year my makeup business really made a turn for the better! It’s so exciting to grow and change throughout life! Don’t get me wrong, 2018 had its fair share of heartbreaks and confusion, but we all came out in the end of it waiting for the fresh beginning of 2019.  Here are some photos of the beautiful brides I had the privilege of working with.

This is Bailey, photos are taken by @theuttkes . I am obsessed with every photo! She is so photogenic and moves with such grace.
This is Nicole. She knows what she wants from life and goes out and gets it. She is an inspiring female to be around and it sounds like her man compliments her so much! Photo by @vitalimagestudios
My first “Unwedding”! The bride and groom got ready together, the whole family showed up to decorate, and instead of dancing, it was like a yard party! Food, games, pumpkin carving. It was so cool, even though I’m a dancer. But, I can dance while I carve pumpkins. There was still music. No traditional dress, which I loooooobed!
I’m excited for 2019, to watch my granddaughter grow and spend time with my family. My niece is playing Varsity basketball and it is a reason for us to get together and giggle every week. I am grateful.

Kreativ Workshop

Last month, I turned 40!  Owow! It occurred to me that I needed to slow down and enjoy myself again.  Life is moving a lot faster then I thought it would.  It was essential for me to take a little time to reconnect with the things I love, surround myself with good energy, innovative people and be open to new adventures.
Kreativ, a collective of three friends with grandiose ideas, decided to have a workshop.  This sounded like it was right up my alley, so I signed up without any hesitation.  It was a great decision.
The workshop was held at The Draw in Appleton, which is a building collaborative for inventive and inspiring people.  So cool!  I walked in the room to be greeted by friendly faces and this beautiful setup.

Sunny from Ebb and Flow arranged all of the flowers and greenery.  She did amazing obviously, like always!

I set down my things and took a gander around.  I looked out the window to see some pelicans fly into the water and gobble up some fish.  I was like woa, this is some way to start the day!
Others started to arrive, so I settled into my seat with some water, coffee and a granola bar.  Look at this lil table set up! So inviting, personal and beautiful.

First thing on the agenda, was to set the mood with a relaxing watercolor class taught by the talented Alyssa.  Listening to music, doing a mini dance session in my chair while painting was a perfect start.

Can you tell which plant isn't real? hehe
After painting, we did a little yoga, guided meditation, some education on blogging by Shaunae, and talks about being true to yourself in your business.  I believe this completely.

To stand out, be yourself, there is only one of you in this life.

Business and financial education followed, which was my favorite part. Colleen has a heartfelt, realistic approach to business.  This was refreshing to see.  Factual, but with a soft side that makes you respect the decisions you make, because they make you respect yourself.

Then, an Instagram contest..which I won a Jenna Kast Studios mug! They were looking for something different and I posted a photo with another attendee...yah buddies!

A bonus, Kreativ sent us home with a little swag bag full of cute goodies!

This was a sweet group of women.  Everyone came in with great energy and a sense of community. I loved it all, I recommend it all, and I hope I can attend another session.

Oh yes, plus, since I was in Appleton, I had to stop by Happy Bellies...you know it!

Avant ~ A Brush Lettering Workshop

Today was a fun day with kindred spirits! I was feeling the need to get out of the house and do something different and this class was perfect. Avant, a brush lettering workshop hosted by Mint and Lovely.  Brush lettering is a skill I have always wanted to learn, so today was the day to get with it.

I am always so annoyingly early, so I went over to Kavarna to get some of my favorite pasta salad and water to put in my gullet, this way I will not have to wrestle others for their macarons when I get hangry.

The doors finally open at The Backstage Meyer, which is a very inviting space with full windows and relaxing lighting, Sunday vibes galore.

I was greeted with familiar faces, friendly smiles, swag bags, and custom mugs with our names on them.  I was straight up giddy.

Along with the swag we received, I brought my own..hehe...I was feeling like Spring in my Poppy Avenue lemon dress.

The macarons matched my new kicks..I mean c'mon, this shiz was meant to be #rosegolderrything

Ebb and Flow was there with table magic, Sunny never disappoints.

So everyone has to start somewhere when learning.  This was my first go at brush lettering.  These words are obvious, but a great reminder to get out of my head and make myself who I want to be.

I am also having surgery tomorrow, so I needed to occupy my anxious brain.

Stealth Mode Wallet

The Stealth Mode RFID Blocking Wallet came in some wonderful packaging. It felt like a present, so definitely great for a gift. The leather used for the wallet is very soft. The depths of the card pockets are great, your credit cards go deep enough that you don't feel like they will fall out. Security is the main benefit of this wallet. The money holder has a divider which is useful and is made from high quality material as well.

Hi friendships!
It's been a long time.
Well, these inspired my life lately.
Gold shoes from Las Vegas, hecks to the yes!
Plus, I saw Jlo in concert.  If you don't get inspired after a show like that, you are dead inside.

Get it girl!  She is 46! What to the what! I need to get it together.
